Not only will they add huge flavors to your foods, but they also provide mighty nutrients to nourish your body. Try this:
- Squeeze lemon in your drinking water, salads, fish or meats.
- Use avocado to make foods creamy or simply add to your wraps, sandwiches or salads for extra texture and flavor. Yes, you can even make healthy desserts with it. Ex: Just substitute the high-sugar chocolate mousse dessert for half the sugar simply by using avocado and adding cocoa powder with a little brown sugar to create that same sweet and creamy chocolate mousse flavor and texture.
- Add minced or sliced ginger to your rice, fish, veggie or chicken dishes.
- Cook with coconut oil (a.k.a. the healthiest oil to cook with), or add coconut to rice or to make delicious curry and sauces.
